The Navajo Police Department Missing Person Unit was founded in October 2021. Our mission is to investigate and resolve cases involving missing persons within the Navajo Nation. Our team is composed of both commissioned law enforcement officers and civilian personnel.

Since the initiation of the Missing Person Unit, our agency has handled over 100 missing person investigations. We are dedicated to supporting the families of the Navajo Nation in these difficult times. Our goal is to raise awareness and provide education and law enforcement resources to our Diné People.
