Missing Person

Anyone with possible information on any of the Navajo Nation missing person whereabout, contact the Navajo Police Department phone tip line (928) 686-8563 or email “tips” to tips.npd@navajo-nsn.gov.

The Missing Person Unit was established in October 2021. The unit was conducted with 5 commission personnel- 1 Police Sergeant and 4 Patrol Officers, 3 civilians, and the Chief of Police. The time of the establishment, over 100 people were missing from the Navajo reservation. The involvement of the unit is to provide assist and help the missing person families through out entire Navajo Nation. The future of this unit will help with providing awareness and education to the Dine people.

Navajo Police Department utilizes NCIC- National Crime Information Center. This is a voluntary base for law Enforcement officers and is a networking system of law enforcement agencies. Navajo Police also obtains Data collection through NCIC and the information needed to provide. For more information, please click on the links below.
