Requirements
  • - Must be at least 21 years old prior to graduation from the Academy.
  • - Be physically and mentally fit.
  • - Must have a High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • - Must be a United States citizen.
  • - No Felony convictions.
  • - No Misdemeanor convictions within 3 years prior to appointment.
  • - No domestic violence conviction.
  • - No excessive traffic citations.
  • - Have not been dishonorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces.
Lateral Police Officer Information:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • - Favorable Background Check.
  • - Current certification: Must hold a valid certification. In good standing or eligible to retain at hire.
  • - Medical requirement: Must submit a physical examination by certified physician.
  • - Driving Record: Favorable driving record/history.
  • - Drug Test: Must submit a 10-panel drug test from a certified physician.
  • - Psychological Examination.
  • - Must be able to pass Fire arms in day and night handgun qualifications with Judgmental.
  • - Must complete Field Training Program and a one-year probation after Field Training.
  • - Provide letter of Recognition/Achievement.
