Navajo Division of Public Safety investigating a possible homicide in Kayenta, Arizona.
KAYENTA, Ariz. - The Navajo Division of Public Safety, in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are investigating a possible homicide that occurred in Kayenta, Arizona.
On February 5 at 2:25 p.m. the Navajo Police Department received a call reporting a man was shot north of Vendor Village in Kayenta, Arizona. Officers immediately responded to the area and found the victim who was transported to the Kayenta hospital where he died from his injury.
Officers located and apprehended the suspect 6 miles south of Kayenta without incident. Due to the ongoing investigation, details available for release are limited.
This case has been referred to the Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
